The only reason this wouldn't work is if you selected "Windows Account" in the options for the master key. Or if you forgot your master password or lost the key file portion of the master key (depending on what you used). The trick may be to find a program to open it on the Mac. I think KeePassXC supports Mac, as well as KeeWeb. There may be others.

Oh, but you also said iOS. Which is it that you are using? There are multiple KeePass ports in the App Store, some free, others which cost some small amount.

I would use the online version of KeeWeb - it runs in your browser. It will open the database as read-only. Saves loading anything and allows you to test. https://keeweb.info/

Hi Everybody,
I need your help and hope to get an answer here.
Following situation:
I created a Keepass Data Base for my Passwords in 2012/2013 on a Windows PC.
I did a back up at this time to a usb stick. (.kdbx file)
I didn't use KeePass for long and using IOS now. Sadly there is an impotant Password for me on this Pass which I need soon.
Is there any chance to load an Windows created data bank into a MAC version of KeePass?
Will there be Problems as it was created on a older version?
Thank you in advance and hope you all have a great weekend
Cheers
Mo
