I'm new at this, so please bear with my foolishness. I'm sure what I'm trying to do is easy. . .but not for this dinosaur.
I just installed Keepass 2.35 on my laptop, running Windows 7. Took a while because I was using old, clunky Password Corral. Try as I might I could not figure out how to import my passwords. No big deal. Did it manually while sipping some scotch and all went well.
Now, I need to install Keepass with the new database on a new laptop running Windows 10. This leads to two questions: how do I do this; and how do I backup the program on an external hard drive?
Thanks for bearing with me. Appreciate the help.

What is the composition of your Master Key? (Does it consist of a master password only, key file only, Windows User Account only, or some combination? If so what combination?)

    Master password only.
But I was able to figure this out. Making things more difficult than they actually are. I saved the database to Google Drive, then accessed it on the new laptop and all the passwords reappeared in the app. Thank you!

    KeePass Backup.
    https://sourceforge.net/p/keepass/wiki/Backup/

To use your exisitng database on another device you need to install KeePass, then copy your database, and the key file if you use one, to the other device.

KeePass can sync the two databases to merge any changes made to either database.

    cheers, Paul
