So, I navigate to a webpage and it prompts for a login. The login has been previously saved to KP. What's the quickest way to get it to insert the ID and password?

Position the cursor into the Userid field and use the Autotype feature
    Normaly Ctr-Alt-A

For global auto-type to work (default Ctrl-Alt-A) make sure the entry's Title is contained in the Window Title (e.g. browser tab title); or define a custom auto-type sequence on the entry's auto-type tab (this is a more customizable, but more advanced feature).

I find drag and drop to be the most convenient method for me, but YMMV. I use KeePass's entry titles for my own method of keeping things organized (which dates back to the old program I used to use), so trying to set them in a way that allows auto-type to work just screws up my filing system.

If you go to the Autotype Tab you can set up an autotype Window title which will be used for autotype matching there that is independent of the Title shown on the main form. The field on the Keepass entry can then contain anything you like.

Use the Add button to generate a Custom autotype and you can then select the window to be matched from a pull down list. You can add wildcards to the match if necessary - I always trim off the browser related parts of the match by replacing them with * so that it will work with any browser.

You could also try a plugin for that, for example KeeFox, ChromeIPass, KeeForm etc

The following video should give you an idea how KeeForm works (jump to 1:26 to see it in action, the rest before that is just an installation tutorial).

It works on most sites, for the rest I use auto-type :-)
