Are there plans to write plugins for Firefox/Thunderbird that will allow those programs to use KeePass as a password store?
I know there are plugins to import passwords from firefox TO keepass, but there is nothing the other way around.

Is there anything on the drawing boards or already written?

  While not a plugin I use Secure Login https://blueimp.net/mozilla/ with FF. Put in a master password on the OPTIONS->SECURITY and use Keepass to autotype it in. Works well for me.
