it is very hard to answer a general and not very technical question if I'm trying to be gentle.
Not KeePass nor any other software is a silver bullet can protect you at any circumstance.

Rule #1 of computing: If a bad guy can persuade you to run bad software, your PC is no longer yours.
Run up to date anti virus, run a regular malware scan with a product like MalwareBytes Anti Malware (free version) and be careful what software you run.
And of course, backup regularly.

thnx Paul,
the advice " be careful what software you run" is pretty hard, you can hardly check what is the code. So MBAM + AV will do the trick for you?
But when speaking about Android, all these apps force you to give them permission to read all. Let alone Alphabets Android itself. We can't expect any decency from those corporate criminals. So does KeepassX let them do so?

" be careful what software you run" just means make sure it's from a reputable source, preferably with plenty of good reviews. As John said, you have to trust someone.
cheers, Paul

Does KeepassX let them do so? Or is the stored file .kdbx protected for that?

Any app you run on your PC / Linux has access to most things, so it's no different to granting access on Android.
i reckon the apps on Android are made to spy and collect all kind of info they try to sell, never heard of surveillance capitalism? Not so sure about the pc programs, well MS does collect a lot with this Cortana for example. But Linux apps?!

When i am having keepass open on my desktop will it be possible for hackers to copy my accounts and pws?
Are they able to copy the database file from the hd itself and try opening it on their own pc?
KeePass documentations are quite detailed and the source-code is avaliable for you to look at and analyze.

If you fear google, don't use Android.
Simple as that.
at the end you always rely on some Corp. your CPU is made by one, you storage is made by one, your Operating system is made by one, etc etc.

KeePassX does not run on Android.
KeePass XC is the latest fork of KeePassX and seems to be good for Linux etc.
