When I open my KeePass DB always the same folder (not the first) is selected.
Is there a setting that affects this pre-selected folder?
It is irritating for me because passwords from this folder are really rare in use by me.

They are called groups in KeePass and the focus is set when you save the database.
Create a new database with only the sample entries and a simple password, then change the focus and save, close, reopen etc.

Changing which group has focus is not considered an important change, and so that change is not saved unless something more important has also changed. If you want that change to be remembered for the next time you open your database, you need to manually force a save using the menu or toolbar. (The save icon will always work, even if it's grayed out; that just means there's nothing important enough to force a save prompt on closing.)

The selected folder at save is the one selected at open.

Sorry. No. It is always the same folder in my case.
Are we talking Windows folders on disk or KeePass groups?
cheers, Paul
We are talking about the Foldrs in KeyPass. Not the Open File Dialog.

Strange.
OK. sorry for the noise.
