Hi, i am new here and sorry for my bad english but i hope you understand what i mean.

I have a keepass database ( version 2.28) and my filesize is over 10mb big. I think a reason for this are the attachments (pictures and pdf files). i removed the attachments, I cleaned the history and the bin but the filesize is still over 10mb. I use the file on my smartphone and there is the loading time very very long, of course at over 10MB it is comprehensible.

Have anybody an idea to reduce the file?

    Thanks and greats.

    Christian

      Go to:

      Tools
      Database Tools
      Database Maintenance
      Deleted objects information
      Delete

Let me know if this works for you.

You probably have missed one or more entries with large attachments that are either current or in the entry's history.

    1. Display entry size in the Entry List view pane by selecting View>Configure Columns... and check Size from the More section of the Configure Columns dialog.
    2. Select View>Grouping in List>OFF
    3. Select Edit>Show All Entries (this shows all entries even if they are not they searchable)
    4. Sort the Size column descending

Entries will be sorted by total size (included what is in the history). Delete any uneeded attachments or other data fields containing large amounts of data. Inpect the history of large entries and delete all large history entries.

    Hi,
and thank you for your advices.

@Gordon Paul: i have tried that at the beginning.

@wellread1: Jackpot! Thank you, your advice was the bests solution for these puzzle. In all entries with attechments, was a "comlpletely forerunner entries" saved. That was the reasson for the large filesize.

Now is the size ok, under 50 KB.

    Thank you all and greats

    Christian
