Hi,
whenever I try to change the shortcut "show keepass window" to "none", next time I re-open keepass it shows control+alt+K. Why I cannot change that shortcut? This keyboard shortcut is in conflict with a similar one I've been using in Thunderbird for years.
thx

If you can change the "show keepass window" to "none" while KeePass is running, but the next time you open KeePass it is reset, it is because KeePass cannot write to its configuration file. Make sure the folder that contains the configuration file, keepass.config.xml, is not write protected. The Date Modified time stamp on the configuration file should update whenever you exit KeePass.
The typical location the active keepass.config.xml file is %APPDATA%\KeePass, but it depends on how KeePass is configured. See https://keepass.info/help/base/configuration.html for additional details on other possible locations.

The time of the keepass.config.xml updates when closing keepass. But after new start the shortcut is reset to default. There are no active write protections for this folders.
Opening the keepass.config.xml I don't see any entry like "hotkeyshowWindow". But the file of the same name in the program files folder has such entry. But this file doesn't change the time after exit.

You should not have any settings in the config file in the program files folder except <PreferUserConfiguration>false</PreferUserConfiguration>. Having other values effectively enforces the setting so that it cannot be changed.
Is there a reason you have other values in that config file?
cheers, Paul

That file may have been created by KeePassRPC. I suggest you close KeePass, rename the config file (.old will do), then create a new one with the following content.
Unless you are running a portable version of KeePass.

I didn't change anything in that file.
Here the content of the file:

Are you running a portable version?
Thank you, that was the solution . The shortcut remains on "none", now.
Bye!
