Prior to update to version 33.0, when a username is entered into a login form and the user tabs into the password field, any remembered passwords would be highlighted.
After version 33.0 update, the password is entered but NOT highlighted.
This means that the auto-type password is appended to the end of the remembered password and login fails.
Has anybody else come across this issue?

I have Firefox profiles that are on encrypted drives and remembering passwords is quicker than using KeePass. On "open" profiles, I only use KeePass auto-type.
But, that does not answer the question. Has anybody else noticed this behaviour? If so, this indicates that the developers at Mozilla have made a change that will inevitably affect many KeePass users.
I am looking for some verification of this change in the way that FireFox works.

On my Firefox 33 this doesn't happen for existing data in fields. I tested using http://keepass.info/help/kb/testform.html
I don't have FF auto fill any passwords, so maybe it's a password auto-fill issue.
cheers, Paul

You can exactly what I mean in the attached video.
After the third auto-type entry using the KeePass Test Form, I allowed Firefox to save the password. On the subsequent auto-type, the password is appended to the saved password.
You only need to change the Auto-Type of the root - right click on the root group and select Edit Group - assuming all other groups inherit the parent setting.
cheers, Paul

Why do you let Firefoy remember passwords ?
There is no need for this function using KeePass Auto-type.
That depends on the scenario.

To prevent that you need to change the default Auto-Type sequence. Try adding "^a" before the password, {Tab}^a{Password}{Enter}.

Thanks for your reply Paul,
The last thing I want to do is to go through several thousand entries to change the Auto-Type sequence.
As it happens, Firefox has just been updated to version 33.02 and the issue has been resolved.
It seems fairly safe to assume that this was, in fact, a bug in the v33.0 version.
