Hi, cann´t start keypass after update my notebook from windows7 to windows10 !!!
when i now start keypass (i use keypass password safe 2.24), i must first open the (old) file "Datenbank für shop-Paßwörter.kdbx". Then i try my master password (together with the windows user account, like before).
Now i get the message from keypass: Failed to load the specified file! The composite key is invalid!*
* Make sure the comosite key is correct and try again.*
what do i do wrongly?

No Icon for Keepass after Windows10 update on Saturday, 18/03/2017
I am currently running the Windows 10 operating system on an Asus laptop. I had an update to Windows 10 on Saturday. It did not show the Keepass icon on my screen. I can download Keepass, and use it for that particular session. But when I log out, I get the same problem. I have no access to Keepass, and have to download it again. Is this a known problem?

Manually make a shortcut on your Windows Desktop to the executable, KeePass.exe. If you used the KeePass installer, then the executable is probably in the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\KeePass Password Safe 2. See if the shortcut survives logging off then on to Windows.

Windows User Account will not longer unlock your database because it has changed with the upgrade.
More on using WUA as the master key: http://keepass.info/help/base/keys.html#winuser
cheers, Paul
Thanks Paul,
will try it
