I've been using KeePass for Windows for over a year now and I'm happy with it.
Recently, I received a laptop running Ubuntu. A priori, KeepassXC seems the most suitable version. Problem, the file created with KeePass Windows 2.53 is not read by KeePassXC.
What could be the solution?
Thanking you in advance for your response,

KeePass and KeePassXC may process certain key files differently, resulting in incompatibility. Check if a simple test database protected by a master password only is can be opened.

The supplier of my old laptop had installed Windows 10 in a lighter version. I wanted, on another disk (not another partition), to install Ubuntu. The latter, to my surprise, turned out to be much slower than Windows 10.
So I'm going to stay on Windows 10 until I find a lighter Linux version.
Thanks again,

If you don't get an answer here you could try to export/import between the two programs or ask on KeePassXC's forums.

Test if you can open the database on Ubuntu with KeeWeb online.
If so the database is fine, if not the copy process may have corrupted the file.

Hi,
Thank you very much for your answers.
But I ended up giving it up.
