Hello,

My System:
Ubuntu 17.10 (default desktop environment), Keepass 2.36 (from official Ubuntu repositories)

Problem:
When editing an entry's notes field in a specific way, Keepass crashes.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open appended test.kdbx with password "123456" (without quotes)
  2. Edit "Sample Entry"
  3. Scroll down completely in notes field
  4. Select text exactly as shown in screenshot 1
  5. Press Backspace
Keepass is crashing, notes field is disappearing and "Edit Entry" window is remaining as seen in screenshot 2, completely unresponsive.

Screenshot 1 - Text Selection:
1 Text Selection

Screenshot 2 - Crashed:
2 Crash

Workaround:
Just select the text in another way.

Thanks and best regards,
Florian Schwarz

This is a Mono bug. Mono handles keyboard input and rendering of standard UI controls. There isn't really any KeePass code involved in this crash, and unfortunately I don't see how a workaround could look like, sorry.

Thanks anyway for the report, best regards,
    Dominik

Thanks, I posted a new bug report in the mono project here.
I hope, it's the right one.

    Best regards,
    Florian Schwarz
