For at least a couple of years, I have had problems with the UI when running under Fedora. When I first open keepass it runs properly. However, keepass has been running awhile I start to notice several bugs in processing mouse events. The duration of how long it takes for these bugs to start occurring is anywhere from a few minutes to a day or so.

The first problem, is the right click menu won't highlight or allow me to select any of the menu items. For example "Copy Password". The hotkeys such as CTRL-C also stops working.

The next problem is double click over a field such as password will stop working. Often these two things do not break at the same time. So there might be a period of time between when the menu stops working and the and the double click stops working. When the double click stops working it opens the entry instead of copying to clipboard.

The result of these bugs is often times to copy a password into the clipboard I end up opening the entry, displaying the password, and then copy and paste. However, ideally I don't ever want to actually see my passwords. There is no chance of me accidently revealing something I don't know.

I have delayed opening this ticket for so long, because I thought maybe this is a problem with mono. But if it was a problem with mono, I suspect it would have been fixed by now.

BTW. I don't know if this also happens in windows. While I do use keepass in Windows, I use it extremely rarely in Windows.

This does not happen in Windows judging by the lack of reports here. It is probably mono / Fedora / your machine.

    Do you have 'xsel' installed?

If 'xsel' is installed, do you see an 'xsel' process running in the background while KeePass hangs?

What KeePass version are you using? KeePass 2.24 has added a workaround for 'xsel' hanging in some cases. I recommend to test the latest KeePass version 2.28.

    Best regards,
    Dominik
