Sadly it staled a couple years back, along with Aqsis development, as I think the industry interest swung over to Blender, which supports Renderman and has a new internal renderer (Cycles) Personally, I think K-3D is easier to use than Blender, it has a very intuitive interface and the procedural workflow is pretty cool. Main thing that was missing for me was skeletal/character animation, but it was useful for building spaceships and things like that. -- Brett W.
