Yes, I see your bug report, located at http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=150984 The response that you got was perfectly polite and reasonable, and the word "dumb" doesn't appear anywhere, so I'm not sure where you got that impression. There are searchable archives of the gtk mailing list at http://www.gtk.org/mailinglists.html where you might consider looking to see if others have had the same problem you're having. On the other hand, if nobody else has had your issue, and you're unwilling to even subscribe to a mailing list to discuss it, how do you expect it to get fixed? Given that Sun has dropped CDE in favor of Gnome, is an active member of the Gnome Foundation, and has made significant contributions to Gnome, including the Human Interface Guidelines that we are using as an integral part of the K-3D UI design, it really seems unlikely to me that Gtk 2.4 can't be made to work given sufficient effort. If you ever feel the need to indulge in name-calling on this list again, don't ... I'd prefer you just unsubscribe and go on your way. Tim |
