Neither of these modules is available in Jython. _winreg is a C module and not supported. You might like to try JNIRegistry - see this thread for some details: http://aspn.activestate.com/ASPN/Mail/Message/Jython-dev/2007903 subprocess is new in Python 2.4 and not included in Jython which implements Python 2.1.
