Hi I've just started using jython and I'm very impressed so far. I wasn't expecting to have written the application I needed in 2 days, that included learning python and jython! However I do have a question for the developers here, and also an offer to help if needed. The application I've written is used with a distributed environment where logging is __really__ important, and most problems are solved by dynamically turning up the debug level of applications and libraries. Also, the jython classes and modules are downloaded remotely which means that if we get problems, the log files are where we need to go. However I within jython I can't see much logging going on, or when it does, it's a System.out, which on a distributed system is not that useful. Are there any plans for the logging in jython ? and if so could I be party to those discussions ? or if this is a new issue perhaps I could launch a new thread to discuss it ? Best regards --Jools |
