I've been off doing other stuff for a while and not paying much attention here. But I don't think I've seen this topic recently, and the last time was quite a while ago. I know Jython needs a pretty full Java implementation to run. I recall seeing explicit statements that the Personal Java subset was not sufficient. How hard-and-fast a rule is this? I was just poking around some of the details of the Sharp Zaurus PDA, which looks like a really nifty device. There's a Python implementation for it, but the Java it's got embedded is one that is (only) designed to the Personal Java set. Are there any hopes at all for Jython in such a situation? Mats |
