Hi,

After the 2.1 release, it is time to start working on the 2.2 features.
Because of the way we are dependent on the standard modules from
CPython-2.2, we are now entering a period of time where the head of the
jython CVS doesn't work anymore.

The CVS will not work with the 2.1 modules because of a mismatch in sre
MAGIC numbers. The CVS will also not work with the 2.2 modules because
the 2.2 modules depend on features that we haven't implemented yet such
as generators or new-style classes.

This is the first time since the CVS repository were made public where
we deliberately have a non-working CVS. We will try to keep the period
short.
