[Jython-dev] installation problem

Hallo,

I just installed jython-20. Everything goes well
but when I start jython from the commandline
the following error appears:


gerhard@darkstar:~/work/prog/jython > jython
Unable to initialize threads: cannot find class java/lang/Thread
gerhard@darkstar:~/work/prog/jython > java -version
java version "1.1.8"
gerhard@darkstar:~/work/prog/jython > 

I use Linux SuSE 7.1 on a pentium II

maybe you can give me a hint.
