Yes indeed, the 2.5.2 release has been in the same state for quite some time now. However, I know that it hasn't been forgotten about and I do see new commits being made every once in a while. I'm sure that the release will come soon, but time is just a factor right now. I think schedules are busy, and a release always takes a good amount of effort because we will go through a couple of release candidates, etc. before a final release is decided upon. Once schedules clear up a bit I think things will move forward. All the best.
