I've been using PyServlet "pylets" a fair bit lately, and one case came up that I hadn't seen an example of. My application has a few web-based reports that a user can request. Most of these run quickly enough to return a result to the browser immediately. However, a few take 10+ minutes, and I'd rather not leave the user waiting. I was hoping I could have -those- reports do two things when run: - return a "your request has been queued" message to the user - continue running the report (it'll be saved/served later) Is there a reasonable way to do this with PyServlet scripts, or is that asking it to do too much? (assuming I'll need threads). Thanks, Karl |
