I installed Jython 2.1 from the self-extracting .class file (the most obvious link on the site) on my Fedora box. However, I haven't yet gotten my first program working. I have compiled a python script using jythonc, but when I try to compile the java program that calls the jython class, I get: foo.java:9: cannot access org.python.core.PyProxy file org/python/core/PyProxy.class not found String s=g.readData(g); readData is one of the methods in my class. After poking around, I found Jython-2.1/org/python/core/PyProxy.java, but I could not find PyProxy.class, even after doing a "find / PyProxy.class" and a "locate PyProxy.class". And, yes, I also manually "ls"'d everything in my classpath - although if it had been there, I wouldn't be looking for it in the first place. I could compile Jython from scratch, I suppose, but I'd really rather not, particularly as I need my end product to be installable by someone with only a small amount of command-line experience. What am I doing wrong? It looks like it'll be a really nice tool, and very useful, once I've got it working. Glad it's here, since I was just given the task of integrating some python/java progs with no real idea of how to do it (and not much python experience)! Thanks in advance. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Photos: High-quality 4x6 digital prints for 25¢ http://photos.yahoo.com/ph/print_splash |
