There is no question (at least to me) that we will use the latest and greatest for any 3.0 work. I would say we might even use whatever Java is in *beta* when we start the 3.0 (or 3000 if you prefer) planning. Since Python 3.0 and therefore Jython 3.0 are to be intentionally backwards incompatible, we will have much more latitude with this sort of thing. Also, the adoption of Python/Jython 3000 would be expected to be pretty gradual, since re-work will be necessary in most cases. > > - Josh |
