Well, making jwma access a POP Inbox, is not so much of an issue probably. However, I am sure people expect to have their Folders and Messages, and this is were I really do not see any point in putting efforts, as IMAP has been developed exactly for this purpose. If it is about security, then it is no problem to make a SSL based connection. I have placed hooks for this, and there was a post on SF with instructions and the message that it works out. (Allthough not using my hooks.). I am still on 1.3.1 but I could see about adding jsse, and include an out-of-the-box option. >> Well I see that Struts will bring a lot of changes to most parts of jwma, >> probably including the model. Well, in fact we can branch out 0.9.7 if patches become necessary, as I have started to tag the releases (i.e. There is no problem to retrieve the 0.9.7 state of release). Also it will be an evolution, rather than a revolution. For the struts trunk you are most likely right. Guess it is time to collect some experiences with branching, and open our first revolutionary branch. Regards, Dieter |
