I don't think we need to CC anymore since we're all on the same mailing

I thought the 0.8 base is out of date.

This is done in other projects. For example Apache's Cocoon project offers a
layer that does scripting (before XSL translation but after a serializer
thingy). This solution offers the best of both worlds. (I'm so technical
(heh); I never really got to know cocoon very well.) So it can't be "too
hard". Actually, maybe the best route is to integrate in to cocoon though
maybe that's a little heavy. (The purpose of integration is to focus on
other jobs like IMAP sorting and such and leave the scripting/compiling/etc
to the other guys.)
