Inconsistent dot above (ḃṗ vs. ḋ)

In Junicode ḋ U1E0B (Latin small letter D with dot above) has its dot above the stem, but both bḃ and pṗ have the dot above the bowl. This is the most usual position when used for Irish (although most Irish-specific typefaces use the insular d which has no vertical stem).
Is there a particular reason why it’s above the stem or could it be changed? It looks very odd in Irish or Old Irish text.
I can confirm there does seem to be an inconsistency here between ḃ, ḋ, ḣ, and k̇.
Probably I was looking at different fonts handling it in different ways. I'll put this on my to-do list.
