I don't know if this is an issue with Junicode or Word, but there is something wrong with the way word displays characters in junicode. The bottom of the fonts are chopped off, and the cursor insertion point seems to be too high (see ex1). If I change the line hieght to 1.5, the fonts look better, but the cursor still displays incorrectly (see ex2). I've attached two pictures - both are screen caps from a word doc at 12pt.

OS: MacOS High Sierra (10.13.4 (17E202))

Single spacing has never worked particularly well for Junicode because of the many tall characters (with stacked diacritics). I recommend fixed spacing of at least 16pt (for a 12pt font).

The cursor issue is bizarre. Junicode is triggering some kind of weird MS Word bug (this does not happen in other applications). There are many complaints online about how Word sets cursor size, but this doesn't seem to be the most common bug. All I can say right now is that I'm working on it, and I'll post a fix when/if I find one.

Thanks for the update. Yeah, I noticed that the font works perfectly under libreoffice too. I set the line spacing under word to exactly 16pt, and it the font does render perfectly too. Anyway, thanks for your work on the font - it looks great and I'm happy to use libreoffice.

Thanks Peter - I can confirm that it works on Word for Mac 16.14, and also Word for iOS.
