Hello,

I get this error (from logfile):

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "iPodderGui.pyc", line 3062, in OnCleanupFeedChoice
File "iPodderGui.pyc", line 3091, in PopulateCleanupEpisodes
File "ipodder\history.pyc", line 672, in pretty_name_from_path
File "ipodder\history.pyc", line 23, in mkfilenamekey
UnicodeEncodeError: 'ascii' codec can't encode character u'\xf6' in position 93: ordinal not in range(128)

I think it's because of a german special character. And after downloading in Juice the process stops at 100 %, it doesn't get marked as completed. Therefore Juice downloads the episodes every update for new... :-(

Best wishes

Franz

i get this problem as well, seems it always happens when the name of the podcast contains swedish or norwegian special characters, but sometimes also when there is just ordinary english characters in the name (podcast name, not the file name, i have not seen filenames containing special characters). it would not be a big problem if the files weren't downloaded again and again, but it slows up updating/downloading new podcasts.

The issue looks fixed in the latest SVN repository.

I created a copy and made some modification.
Then, I built an installer package for windows. Please try it.

    Hi gentaro,

sorry but I don't have a windows pc at my fingertips and I've changed to Ubuntu/gpodder. But you can test it yourself. I had the problem with Germany's most famous podcast "Schlaflos in München" (http://feeds.schlaflosinmuenchen.com/weeklysim.xml).

    Greets

    Franz
