Hi, I'm new to JTS and have some questions. I would like to incrementally construct an areal geometry (Polygon?) representing a room, potentially with holes representing pillars, for rendering in a 3D environment. As such, how do I best go about: - The incremental construction of the geometry? Is this best handled by GeometryEditor? - Extracting all relevant line segments representing walls, in order to construct the required triangles for rendering? - Inspecting the line segments in order to determine which side of each one faces INTO the polygon, so that I can set up the correct surface normals? Also, since I would also like to use PlanarGraph: how does PlanarGraph maintain planarity of it's underlying structure? Looking in PlanarGraph I don't see much about searching for Kuratowski subgraphs, nor do I see that it controls edge additions. Can you enlighten me as to how this works? Thanks for what so far appears to be a great library. Regards, -- Nick Wiggill www.handcraftedgames.net |
