No

JStock shall provide an interactive charting feature, to enable user to draw indicator line, add text note... on the chart itself. This is to enable user to perform some simple technical analysis based on charting.

Several example are :-

http://www.softcrop.com/anaforex.html
http://www.chartnexus.com/
https://sourceforge.net/projects/humaitrader/

However, JStock is not aim for pro-technical analysis guy. It is for normal home user, with little or no trading experience.

We shall not make this feature complicated, and run away from our main objective : Fun, Easy, Simple.

This is a long term plan task. Once it is opened, it shall be further break down into several smaller tasks.

If possible, we shall use JHotDraw as our drawing platform.

I think AnaForex has used JFreechart. Look at their JNLP.

Also it could be under development, because they have not made it public. you only reach there by google site:www.softcrop.com.

At the first stage, the following features shall be seen. ChartNexus will be the key reference application (See attachment chart-nexus.png)

The reason for taking in ChartNexus, is that they have high market acceptance rate, and we believe these features will be accepted by JStock users as well. (OK, we are not copy cat, we are just standing on the shoulder of giant)

    - Draw Line
    - Draw Horizontal Line
    - Draw Translucent Oval
    - Draw Up Arrow
    - Draw Down Arrow
    - Use Pencil
    - Add Text
    - Erase An Item
    - Erase All Item

Scaling for zoom in and zoom out shall be taken care as well, which I believe JFreeChart had taken it well already.
