Just downloaded PasswordSafe for the first time onto one of the new ("early 2011 MacBookPro") running 10.6.7. Fails to set up a usable database (at least).
I am running it without problem on OSX 10.6.8. Can you try updating to from 10.6.7 to 10.6.8 and see if the problem is still present? Do you see any error message?

lacking a Mac OS X with that version, I can't test it myself. There should be a jpwsafe log in ... (can't remember right now, I'll try to find out).
Can anybody confirm this on this or other Mac OS X versions?

What version of java have you got?
It should work with java 6. It won't work with java7, as there is no more support for 32bit in java7.
I'll soon release a new build that also has a 64bit variant.
Please try the 0.8.1 prerelease Version and give feedback
