Hi Ian, I guess you have some "leftovers" from earlier releases. There is no BasePlan class in the latest MMTk and I think that the org.mmtk.vm.Plan class is deprecated as well (I think it should be removed). Subject: [Jikesrvm-core] Deprecated method usage and MMTk build problems in current CVS head Hi, the CVS head seems pretty broken. MMTk won't build for me in either prototype or development mode. I've modified jconfigure so I can see the build command: --------------------------- diff -u -r1.188 jconfigure --- jconfigure 10 Aug 2005 19:26:18 -0000 1.188 +++ jconfigure 12 Aug 2005 14:57:48 -0000 @@ -2908,7 +2908,7 @@ copy_source \$MMTK_SOURCE/ext/vm/stub vm copy_source \$MMTK_SOURCE/src mmtk - \${HOST_JAVAC} -sourcepath vmmagic:vm:mmtk \$(\${FIND} . -name "*.java") + run \${HOST_JAVAC} -sourcepath vmmagic:vm:mmtk \$(\${FIND} . -name "*.java") # # Build mmtk.jar --------------------------- then I've edited MMTk/src/org/mmtk/plan/BasePlan.java so that it doesn't import org.mmtk.vm.Plan and import org.mmtk.vm.PlanConstants but I still get the attached mmtk build errors. My motivation for doing this was to see what errors were given when -deprecation was enable for jikes. I've attached the result of that too. Regards, Ian Rogers |
