It would be nice if everyone could be sure that their editors were set up properly so we could avoid having to make trivial cleanup commits. (1) Please make sure you are setup to add the correct svn properties when you add a new file (http://docs.codehaus.org/display/RVM/Source+Control). (2) If you are using Eclipse 3.3, you can avoid ever having to think about trailing whitespace by enabling the file save action that automatically removes it. (Preferences->Java->Editor->Save Actions) (3) I'm using the checkstyle plugin for Eclipse (http://eclipse-cs.sourceforge.net/update). If you are using Eclipse, I'd recommend trying it. It helps avoid making style mistakes that then get caught by pre-commit. thanks, --dave |
