Hi developer of OLC Software, please be aware of a "new" feature at flight claim for the pilots. It's not realy new. see Reglement. :-) At HG/PG Onlinecontest it's no longer possible to claim flights if they have large timegaps at track. It means for OLC > 300sec. It means for HG/PG HOLC > 900sec. is not longer allowed to submit flights. This is a *must* that a tracklog must contain every 60sec at minimum 1 position fix. Timegaps are acceptable if we have altitude recorded. Please help your end users, that they cannot optimize such these flights with timegaps. That they have maybe to read again this track from GPS or Logger. Best Regards, Andreas Rieck --------------------------------------------------------------------------- You are wondering about Timegaps, why they are exist ? Some HG/PG GPS examples: 1) - At the morning switch on you gps at Landing field, track some points, switch off. - Go to take of ... some miles far from Landing field. - Start and turn your flight ... land home at landing field at the evening. - You have a 100% closed track, triangle. And some hours timegap from the morning travel to takeoff. 2) - Same prozedure but Competition and evening. - Land anywhere ... switch off your GPS. - Call your Car retrieval driver for picking up. - Go back to Meet Director, switch on GPS again under clear sky for read competition track - optimize later same flight (including car travel) for OLC 3) - MLR read problems like this at BRecords B115455 B115505... B115510... B115515... B105500... B115525... ... will produce a timegap from 10:55:00 to 11:55:25 3.625seconds 4) A GPS Track like this B165555... B165600... B165605... B090020... B090025... B090030... It means, there exist Pilots who will "optimize" more than one day and realy claim these flights. No problem to store these Multi-Day flights to server but allow to optimize best points from more then one day ... hmmm. So that's why we do not accept flight claims with timegaps any longer. And if your Software will detect timegaps too ... it will help your Endusers. |
