Hi Tomas,
I don't know what solutions are possible, but I would like to have a simple
one ("awt-solution") regarding performance- and memory-requirements and
display-size too (please refer to the JFlight-specification). This may imply
that it is a kind of dead-end street. On the other hand there may be a
sophisticated application for desktop PCs. These two application-variants
shall use the same classes for Vario and GPS access and share the basic
functionality.

For me it's ok. Please discuss such topics with Guido for the next time. We
have agreed to give you the job of the "GUI-designer", so you can decide in
the end.
