I figure there's likely someone who can answer this question here. What is the recommended way for someone who's processing a request that might take a long time to "notice that the client has closed the socket/aborted the request" ? This seems like the a hole in the servlet spec... or at least something I've not seen in 2.[2-4] specs. In C code with unix-like apis, I think there's a signal you can listen for. I would imagine in Java, you'd be stuck with polling a la some api like: boolean HttpServletRequest.active() or HttpServletRequest.aborted() or perhaps there would be a listener? -Eric |
