Perhaps post your code will help clarify the issue. I found something you said contradictory. Light weight means threads, heavy weight means process (fork). Without threads how do you process multiple web request and response cycles from multiple URLs at the same time (or more accurately in an interwoven manner)? Hi, New to Jetty, I am looking for a lightweight non-blocking httpClient that does not use an individual thread per HTTP client request, and uses an async call-back. If I understood the docs correctly, the Jetty HttpClient should do this, as it is NIO and async api. So, I created an example where I fired off 40 requests (using the async api), and before the results came back I printed all the threads in the jvm. Not if you send the message to jetty-support, which is an extremely old mailing list no one reads. I didn't realize, when I started talking to you several days ago, where you were sending these questions. No one is likely to see them here (not even me in the future, as I am about to unsubscribe) http://www.eclipse.org/jetty/mailinglists.php jetty-users is going to be the place to ask this question. > Chris Cheltenham <mailto:cch...@sw...> > Monday, August 24, 2015 4:54 > > I am not able to translate what these errors mean in Jetty 9 logs. > > Can anyone help? > > Aug 22, 2015 4:26:12 PM org.apache.cxf.endpoint.ServerImpl initDestination > > INFO: Setting the server's publish address to be > /GUIServices/DataCollection/contracts/1.4/OtherTransactionIDV > > 2015-08-22 16:26:12.396:INFO:oejsh.ContextHandler:main: Started > o.e.j.w.WebAppContext@62ee68d8{/dcis-webservices.war,file:///opt/jetty-distribution-9.3.2.v20 > > 150730/tmp/jetty-0.0.0.0-8080-dcis-webservices.war.war-_dcis-webservices.war-any-466695878465003467.dir/webapp/,AVAILABLE}{/dcis-webservices.war.war} > > 2015-08-22 16:26:12.868:WARN:oejw.WebAppContext:main: Failed startup > of context > o.e.j.w.WebAppContext@562fa8f2{/dcis-reg,file:///opt/jetty-distribution-9.3.2 > > .v20150730/tmp/jetty-0.0.0.0-8080-dcis-reg.war-_dcis-reg-any-2542357238693817879.dir/webapp/,STARTING}{/dcis-reg.war} > > java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException > > Caused by: > > java.lang.IllegalStateException: Nothing to bind for name jdbc/DSTest > > The war files all blow up on me. > > Thank You; > > Chris Cheltenham > > cch...@sw... <mailto:cch...@sw...> > > SwainTechs > > 10 Walnut Grove Rd > > Suite 110 > > Horsham, PA > > 19044 > > 888-905-5767 / X407 > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > _______________________________________________ > Jetty-support mailing list > Jet...@li... > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/jetty-support -- Lobos Studios - Website Design, Mobile App Development, IT Support Toll Free Phone/FAX: 877.919.4WEB Victor Valley Phone/FAX: 760.684.8859 Los Angeles Phone/FAX: 310.945.2410 Business Cell: 310.487.2362 www.LobosStudios.com * www.facebook.com/LobosStudios * @LobosStudios |

The latest version of Jetty 8 is 8.1.17.v20150415 however Jetty 7 and Jetty 8 are both end of life and are only releasing updates for security reasons or should an updated release be sponsored through Webtide. Hello, We have been developing a product by using jetty container running in OSGI (apache karaf). But observing some issues 1. CPU and memory consumption is increasing and never comes back. 2. After 3-4 days of application run, logs are not written. We are using logback with syslog appender. Am i using correct jetty version? anybody faced such issues? java version : openjdk 1.7 karaf version : 3.0.0 jetty version : 8.1.14.v20131031 Thank you. |

Hi, I’m having trouble upgrading from jetty 4 to jetty 5. I’m running the next code in jetty 4: httpListener = *new* SocketListener(); . . . org.mortbay.util.Log.instance().disableLog(); org.mortbay.util.Log.instance().add(*new* HTTPServerLog()); where HTTPServerLog extends logSink however these APIs are not supported in jetty 5, is there an alternative way to perform the above APIs? |

Hi All I'm trying to programmatically configure jetty 7.5.1 (via java) to allow different servlets to be accessed only on specific ports. i.e. http://server:80 -> myPublicServlethttp://server:8080 -> myPrivateServlet Is this possible within one instance of Jetty? I've tried many different configs but looking at the docs I'm wondering if it can be done. Any pointers appreciated. Thanks Gareth |

Had a look through the files in /etc, and there's a jetty-plus.xml, but not sure what to do to get that jar loaded. Thanks, Gerard |

Hi ! Apologies if this question has been posed earlier. I am new to Jetty and have been trying to use Jetty continuation support. I get the basic idea of suspending a servlet. However, I wanted to know how to capture a scenario where the client closes the connection while the servlet request has been suspended? Venkatesh |
