One thing that has bitten me with 4.2 is how the Plugin Manager can actually delete your JDK's tools.jar file entirely. The "Hide libraries" checkbox helps, but it seems to me that jEdit should not allow any deletion of files in the JDK lib (or ext) directory at all. Can this be prevented? |

Do you mean tools.jar show up in the plugins list in the plugin manager, and you accidentally deleted it? (I guess it should not be listed there.) Or did the plugin manager just decide to blow it away for no reason? The first. I was trying to determine if a plugin was causing a problem was having, so I selected and deleted everything. Oops :-) My fault, but I was quite surprised next time I ran a Java app and found tools.jar missing. So, yes, I was hoping tools.jar could be excluded from the list of selectable libraries. Hi, The plugin manager in 4.2pre7 will no longer list tools.jar if it is loaded. On Wed, 2003-10-29 at 09:55, Doug Breaux wrote: > The first.
