I've noticed a change in how jEdit handles split windows from 4.2pre9 and earlier to 4.2pre11. Up until 4.2pre11, if I had a view split into multiple text areas, when I opened a new file only the last selected text area would actually switch to display the newly opened file. In 4.2pre11, all text areas switch to display the new file - I definitely preferred the old behaviour, as I often have my window split in 2 or 3 text areas, each showing different files, but now when I open a new file I have to manually switch the other text areas back to the buffer I wanted to display. It's a minor issue (really just a convenience issue) but if others are seeing this, I (or someone else) should probably bug it (assuming it wasn't an intentional change). Barry |

I think that you are using BufferTabs and the bug is already registered. Plugin Bugs item #921933, was opened at 2004-03-23 18:55 Message generated for change (Tracker Item Submitted) made by Item Submitter You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=565475&aid=921933&group_id=588 I'm working on it, thanks, Alain |

I'm not seeing this problem. Maybe its caused by a plugin such as BufferTabs?
