It would be great to add a calendar component for choosing a date like JCalender (http://www.toedter.com/en/jcalendar/index.html). The calendar can be integrated easily and is licensed under GPL - so there are no problems. If needed I can provide a patch.

    sry the license of the calendar is LGPL http://www.toedter.com/en/jcalendar/license.html so it's even better
