#104 Caller ID Display

I don't know if this is possible, but it would be great
that if your PC is on and connected to a modem, that
when the phone rings the callerID information could be
displayed on the TIVO. I know if you are willing to
hack your Tivo this can be done, but it would be really
nice if that could be provided with only a new server
on your PC.

I guess you could do this indirectly but installing the caller
ID app on your PC and then use the Show Desktop function,
depending on how "real time" show desktop is...

I would love to see this too. I can get Caller ID on my TiVo
series 1 right now using tivocid running on my Linux server.
But if HMO can display caller ID on TiVo series 2's from the
info. off a linux server running something like tivocid that
would be super. Tivocid sends Caller ID out to the LAN.

I like to see caller ID for series 2 all so. I all ready have it for
my series 1 using tivocid. It sends it out my LAN using a Linux
server with a modem in it. I hope HMO can do this too.
