What do you mean? For clarity I'll state the things I understood so far :) translate FAQ.sgml and GNOME-tutorial.sgml, don't worry about the html it= =20 is generated from the sgml's. This would take care of the FAQ and the tutorial with the Java examples that can be accessed from the website. Things I don't know so far: how to translate the website itself? start from the html or are there als= o sgml documents from which the website itself is generated? (no error message) I suggest to wait upcoming java-gnome releases: there should be a 0.8.2 tarball released today, then the 0.9 version will be released on 22nd of December (maybe even before). I have already submitted an ebuild file to build java-gnome 0.8.1. It is working its' way through the gentoo support system. The website already has spanish translations - it would be a good idea to talk to the person who did that to find out how it's done. We have a few changes to make to the website at the moment though - details of gnome bindings release, new schedule, stable vs development releases. I'm unable to say, at the moment, but I've tried few days ago (when Mark Wieelard reported that too) and it worked well so don't worry it isn't going to be nothing serious. We just have to make sure, among the other things in the todo list, that ./configure claims for the correct minum versions. But when working with the autotools a more conventional approach is to have top-level configure.in and Makefile.in files that contain this common configury, and then have the build recurse into the sub-packages' directories. Like I said before, I'm probably ignorant of some GNOME build-system design decision here -- I'm just suggesting a way to eliminate some weirdness. Another question: why not use automake? For gcj support, automake makes things much easier. And the install problems that Mark was seeing will likely just disappear. Anyway, I think a lot of configury changes are needed to cleanly support gcj-only builds, and it's probably not a priority right now, with the gnome-bindings deadline approaching.
