If the XML sgment is badly formed, and you click the
right-hand 'save' button, then the button doesn't
disappear as normal, because it hasn't saved it. There
is an error mesage in the status bar, but that isn't
very obvious. If it isn't going to save it, it ought to
notify you with a message box.
However, it does enable the left-hand 'save' button,
despite the fact that nothing has changed. Clicking
that then disables the right-hand 'save' button, which
is wrong because the segment currently open hasn't been
saved.
Also, the error message in the status bar doesn't
disappear when the problem has been rectified, so you
can never be sure if the error message there is from
your last action or from earlier. It ought to clear the
status bar, or tell you your last action's result,
wheneer you do anything like saving or switching segments.
