Could you test using debian version + debian patches so we could know if it
is or not a compilation bug (compiler, glibc or anything else) on our side.

If debian version compiled in our environment work, that may be a bug in
busybox-1.10.1.
You may try to downgrading busybox until it work again.

Then you could report your investigation on busybox mailing list.
