For many years I had a Zoom modem which worked very well, running for many weeks at a time and very rarely requiring a re-boot. Eventually the Zoom stopped working and I ordered a DLink modem (already having a DLink switch which has been on for a very long time). When the DLink modem arrived it was defective, and rather than having it replaced I ordered a NetGear modem (DM 111P). Unfortunately this modem has been very poor, barely lasting a day without requiring a re-boot, and I fear that I shall have to replace it. Any suggestions for a reliable modem would be appreciated. (The reason why I did not go back to a Zoom modem was that one was not then available. One is now available (ADSL 2/2+ bridge modem 5615) and this is the one that I am considering.) Kindest regards to all - especially the IP-cop team. Brian |
