Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Bill K (drotta) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Kernel Logging Stopping abruptly 1.4.16 Initial Comment: Hello, Have noticed on several occasions that the Kernel Logging stops abruptly. Then we can no longer browse the web. I have checked available memory and see around 512 or more Ram is in the machine and Ram usage is around 87%. I have not explored further in the logs because it was 19days since the last reboot and I am not sure when the Kernel loggin server quit working. I have copfilter and zerina Loaded. I use only the havp, privoxy and the clam 91.2. I do not use the rest of the components of that software package. Snort is running also. Snort is run on the Red and Green interfaces but not the orange since it is not in use at this time. The rest of the services are pretty normal, dhcp, time, webui, ssh when needed, etc. Usually stopping havp and privoxy and then in services clear the cache and then repair chache does the trick and gets browsing to work. To get the Kernel server to go green, i cheat and just do a shutdown from the webui. Great Product. Thahks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=428516&aid=1801396&group_id=40604 |
