And dnsmasq *has* been restarted to appply the changes that are in the /etc/hosts file right? Oh Oh Oh Random thing that just might account for it: Is the file hosts all in lowercase? I'm not 100% sure but I believe the only file that dnsmasq will read is /etc/hosts - if it's named HOSTS the read will *not* happen. This happened to me when I used WinSCP to shoot the file over from my Wintel box, and never bothered to check the case of the filename itself. |
