Hello List, OK , I am getting a bit nervous now. Whenever I access the internet, I get a whole bunch of hits on destination port 53 on my outside (real-world) ip address. Here is a sample from the IDS logs : --------------------------------------------- Date: 11/19 20:48:44 Name: ICMP PING speedera Priority: 3 Type: Misc activity IP info: x.x.x.x:n/a -> x.x.x.x:n/a References: none found --------------------------------------------- Same stuff on firewall logs. Lots of external ip addresses hitting dest. port 53. Does anyone have any idea ? Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA, spyros _________________________________________________________________ STOP MORE SPAM with the new MSN 8 and get 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail |
