Hello on a debian 3.0 AMD Duron 1800 SiS748 (Realtek-like on board NIC) system with 2.4.27 i ran into the problem that the box dies sometimes with a kernel BUG at usb-ohci.h:464! 0010:[<e089cf60>] invalid operand: 0000 (? have not noted that words) ... ... Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler! The box is "dead", but keyboards LEDs are blinking, indicating the panic. The problem occurs when i access the Web cam (which is the only USB device) with setpwc(a very simple programm to sent ioctlI#s) or palantir (a web cam streaming server) after some (approx. 2...10, not reproducible count) accesses the box hangs, sometimes without any hint why no where... It's hard to believe that a simple userlevel application can kill the entire box? Some googling shows: That oops occurs with other hardware (USB network card, *USB ADSL Modem*, "PCMCIA to USB" Card) too. The only recomandation (i found) was to got back to 2.4.26... (have not yet tried). That bug occured in 2.4.25 and previous versions too.. Maybe that problem is relevant for IPcop too as it uses 2.4.27? (Maybe the realtek driver is not "clean"?)
